I asked her once about the French style, and she made a face--a particularly Simone Signoret face. The smelling of sour milk. She said she didn't know what French style was; didn't know if she had a style. All she did know was that she believed strongly in what she believed, worked to uphold the beliefs, and supported her friends to the death. And she was addicted to the truth. Unless--and she paused, looked away--the truth would hurt a friend or keep her from working well.

So I think she believed in loyalty and work. And that is a good style.
